Diskriter Participates in State AHIMA Conferences

Members of the Diskriter team will participate in several state annual AHIMA conferences in 2013. Diskriter enjoys the opportunity to support the state AHIMA organizations. The conferences provide a great forum to meet HIM leaders in person, learn about current opportunities and challenges they are facing and discuss ways Diskriter might provide value to their organization. The conferences provide a valuable learning and networking experience.

Diskriter Executive Director is Featured AHIMA Speaker

Chris Parfitt, RHIT, Executive Director of HIM Services at Diskriter, will be a featured speaker at the Texas and Florida state AHIMA conferences. The title of her presentation is: Computer Assisted Coding: Benefits that Go Beyond ICD-10.

 

Chris explains, “Hospitals are currently engaged in projects to prepare for ICD-10 implementation. At the same time, hospitals are actively looking for ways to streamline work processes and contain costs in health information management. In my presentation I’ll address the ability to use Computer Assisted Coding to not only successfully implement ICD-10, but also to mitigate legal and compliance risk and achieve operational efficiencies.”
